About Us

Jacqueline Barbaro is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She has 10 years of experience working in the field of Mental Health. Jacqueline received a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Psychology from Cambridge College as well as a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Anna Maria College. In addition, Jacqueline obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work while in her undergraduate program from Anna Maria College.

Prior to working in private practice, Jacqueline worked in various settings such as residential treatment, in-home community-based programs, partial hospitalization programs, and outpatient clinics. 

Her preliminary experience was working with the geriatric population in conjunction with the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services. Over the course of her career, she has worked with at-risk court-involved youth, families, and adults in the judicial system. Additionally, Jacqueline has extensive experience working with adolescents and young adults struggling with mental health and addiction.

Her direct, assertive, and thoughtful approach has provided clients with sustainability and results that stick. Jacqueline uses a Solution Focused approach to helps clients recognize they are worthy and deserving of the changes they want to see. Often times, clients feel defeated by their own life experiences which has led to unhealthy, ineffective behavioral patterns. Furthermore, Jacqueline is an EMDR therapist who was trained through Francine Shapiro's EMDR Institute. This has allowed her to have a unique and unparalleled approach when dealing with adverse childhood or traumatic experiences. Jacqueline often utilizes mindfulness and relaxation techniques.

Jacqueline enjoys an active lifestyle through mind/body/spiritual connections and takes pleasure in observing all four seasons of New England. In her downtime, Jacqueline enjoys long nature walks or binge-watching reality TV with her cat Lola.
